Today’s garden pics…
Lots of critters out in the garden today except not so many snails. The strangest thing spotted was the moth sitting next to the snail. At first i didn’t know it was a moth. Then I thought it might be dead because it just sat there for a long time. Finally I brushed it lightly with a twig and it flew away.
Cross garden spider and other critters
A favorite spider of SHI is the Cross garden spider, with the magnificent, iconic cross pattern on its back. It’s an orb-weaver spider. Cross garden spiders are beneficial to gardens because they eat pests. They might look frightening and creepy but they are harmless to humans. This spider rarely bites unless provoked, and the bite is mild.
